Obituary of Tony William Sohns

Tony passed away peacefully at his home in Tacoma, Washington, while battling medical complications. Tony was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Being from a military family, Tony was raised in Ft. Riley, Kansas; Spokane, Washington; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Tokyo, Japan and then settled in Tacoma, Washington, where Tony graduated from Wilson High School in 1978. He then went on to college for one year at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Tony owned Proctor Paint and Hardware for many years along with his wife, Patricia. He later was employed by AAMCO Transmissions for several years. Tony is one of two children born to Roy and Namiko Sohns and he was the beloved husband of Patricia Sohns. Tony will forever be remembered by his devoted sister, Susan Leirdahl (husband-Robert Leirdahl), along with his devoted daughter, Dayshia Gagladari (husband-Donnie Gagladari) and his adorable granddaughter, Kenadee, his loving nieces, Shareen Faleafine, Brittney Gerhardt (husband-Jon Gerhardt) and Shannon Faleafine (fiancé-Zach Bartlett), and along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Tony loved listening to Rock-n-Roll while playing his air guitar. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the sports and history channel. Treasured long drives to the ocean and relaxing at home with his loving wife, Patti (Patricia). Tony touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity, and big heart. Tony continued to maintain his sense of humor till the day he went to heaven. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family wants to thank the wonderful team at Franciscan Hospice who gave such wonderful home care to Tony in his time of need. The family also appreciated the endless hours this loving team has given to the family during this difficult time.
