Obituary of Ted Woodford Plummer

Ted Woodford Plummer, beloved husband and father, passed away February 28, 2010. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa September 7,1928 to Myrl and Lila Plummer, the youngest of four siblings. Ted was predeceased by his brother, Dean Plummer and his sister Maxine Arndt. He is survived by his sister Ruth Gill. Ted moved with his family to West Linn, Oregon, where he attended High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the US Marine Corps. He returned to West Linn and attended Lewis and Clark College and married, high school sweetheart, Alice Green. Together, they moved to Seattle, Washington and Ted began his 38 year career with the Boeing Company. During his time at Boeing, Ted worked in the Machine Shop, Purchasing, Material and Industrial Engineering. Ted and Alice had four Daughters. Kristi (Jerry) Short, Karen(Scott) Creek, Karol (Doug) Kraft, and Karla (Brian) Parker. They also have nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ted was an avid golfer and enjoyed the great times with his buddies at Lake Spanaway Golf Course. He also loved to fish, hunt and camp with his friends and family. After retirement, Ted spent time in his wood shop building items for his family. He spent many treasured hours working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He enjoyed spending time with his family friends and pups. There are many memories we all will cherish of the time we spent with Ted and the enjoyment he gave us all. His terrific sense of humor and compassion will be missed by everyone. Alice and the girls would like to thank all of the people who have given their help, kind words and prayers, that have carried them through this difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 12th at 1:00 PM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 19030 8th Avenue South, SeaTac, WA 98148.
