Obituary of Sandra Marie Gresswell

Sandra M. Gresswell was born in Renton, Washington on February 10, 1962, and passed away at her home in Federal Way, Washington early Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2009, following a nearly five year battle with colon cancer. Today, we rejoice in the knowledge that Sandy is forever at home in the arms of Jesus. Sandra grew up in Kent, Washington. She was the second of five children. She was educated in the public schools of Federal Way, Washington. As a child, Sandra was happy and rambunctious. She loved playing outdoors with her siblings and making up little games like kick the can and life with the mud people. She enjoyed riding her bike, fishing for tadpoles, and designing new habitats for her newly captured friends. Through her teen years, Sandra’s sense of humor flourished. She loved to laugh and enjoyed seeing others laugh with her. Her generosity and grace towards others was extraordinary. Sandra was a remarkable daughter, sister, and friend. She was a devoted mother and her success is exhibited through her children. Sandra joined Mutual Insurance Services in October 1998, as a File Clerk and quickly moved up to Underwriting Assistant, then obtained her Agents license and moved to an Underwriting position. Her continued dedication, work ethic, and sharp skills earned her the position of Senior Underwriter for their Specialty Programs. Sandra is an inspiration to all. Sandra is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law, Angela and Matt Desjardins; Daughter, Jacqueline Gresswell; and Daughter and Son-in-law, Amy and Jacob Corley; Mother and Step-Dad, Jenny and Don Lord; Brothers, David and Donald Brannan, Karl Ward and Blair Nett; Sisters: April Ward, Bonnie Nett, Debbie Brannan, Laura Brannan, and all her wonderful nieces and nephews.
