Obituary of Ronald Eugene Cooper

Ronald Eugene Cooper died June 23, 2012 at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Washington. He was born June 10, 1931 in Independence, Missouri. While growing up in Independence, Ron was paperboy to President Harry S. Truman. Ron was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War era. Ron is survived by his devoted wife of almost 60 years, Billie Cooper, his four children: daughter Teresa (Ken) Stratton, son Ron Cooper, Jr., daughter Pamela Battersby and son Mark Cooper. Also surviving are grandchildren Ashley, Randi, Kelsey, Alexandra, Brandon, Samuel, Nicholas and five great-grandchildren. Ron’s family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff who provided end-of-life care at Franciscan Hospice House. The family requests that memorial donations in Ron’s name be made to the Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way W, University Place, WA 98466-4631.
