Obituary of Dale Peter Jensen

Dale Peter Jensen “Pete” Pete was born June, 17, 1940 in Ishpeming, Michigan and passed away at home among family on April 9, 2012 in Tacoma, Washington after a short bout with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan; daughters Donna (Ken) Newell, Janet LeDuc, Teressa (Rick) Nekl, Sandra Jensen, and son Kevin (Staci) Jensen; 12 grandchildren and numerous extended family members. Pete went into the Air Force after graduating high school- where he spent 8 years, during which he served in Vietnam. He was a firefighter for 10 years upon his return. Once leaving the fire department, he then worked at Asarco in Ruston, Washington for 15 years. When the Asarco plant closed down, Pete worked as a maintenance supervisor for nursing homes in the area until his retirement 9 years ago. Pete’s love for his family, The Seattle Mariners, and playing with his computer kept him very active in his free-time.
