Obituary of Thomas W McDonald

Born 10/30/1927 in Livingston, MT and passed away 12/26/2009 in Federal Way, WA. Tom joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and served in the Far East on a battleship during WWII. He moved to Tacoma in 1950 and worked at the Tacoma Smelter and drove for Totem Bus until his retirement. Tom was a jokester full of life who knew no stranger. He looked forward each week to pickup food items for the “bread run” at St. Martin of Tours food bank with his brother in law Bob Thornhill. Thomas is survived by his fiancé, Mary Kirkpatrick; 4 sons, Tom Jr., Mark (Cindy), Chuck, Greg; brother, Jack McDonald; 5 sisters, Kathryn (Bob) Thornhill; Darlene Corrado, Jean Stinchcomb, Judie (Ralph) Kastner, Dorothy Johnson; 3 grandchildren. Funeral mass to be celebrated 11AM Monday, 1/4/10 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 2303 54th Ave E., Fife, WA. Viewing 1 hour prior to mass. Interment to follow at Sumner City Cemetery.
