Obituary of Harry Robert Jensen

Harry Robert Jensen, born February 28, 1949 in Santa Rosa, CA passed away on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2011 surrounded by his family. Harry grew up in Northern California, graduated from Fortuna Union High School, and received his Masters Degree in Psychology from California State University Sacramento. He moved to Gig Harbor, WA with his family in 1978 and devoted 25 years of his life working for the Tacoma/Pierce County Health Department, from which he retired in April 2010. Harry was an avid reader of all things scientific and he was an expert in computer technology. He was also a Vietnam Veteran and a courageous cancer survivor. Harry is survived by his father, Harry C. Jensen; his wife of 40 years, Corinne (Cory) Jensen; his brothers, Barry and Chas Jensen; his children, Brooke Jensen, and Erica Garat (Jason); and his grandchildren, Laine (3) and Brody, who was born this year on Harry's 62nd birthday. Harry was a quiet man with a big heart. His generosity, sense of humor, and unique nature will be long remembered and loved.
