Bruce was one of the very few honest, straight-talking, guileless people I know. I am so sorry he is gone. To his family and loved ones: Please accept my sympathies and virtual {{{hugs}}}. Bruce was a very caring person who was always there when I needed a friend for advice or just to vent: he'd never gossip about me or lie to me just to make me feel better (like some 'real life' friends!), he wouldn't hold back on his opinions for fear of offending me- he told it straight. He did not entertain subterfuge and deceit. Bruce was just plain 'good people.' No frills, bells or whistles. His passing deeply saddens me; not only for the loss of 'my' friend, but for what his family- and the world- has lost in this wonderful man. Friends and family like Bruce are invaluable! Please appreciate and cherish them for who they are. I have made a donation to the American Heart Association (http://www.americanheart.org/)in Bruce's name, as requested by his family. Bruce had such a big heart for the people he deemed 'worthy,' and I agree- this is a fitting cause for memorial donations in Bruce's name. Bruce, go step on that leash, Guy. :) 'Gotta Git' -Kiddo

I am so sorry for your loss. From the little contact I had with him,he seemed like a very protective, honest and decent young man. Please avoid places like the cellar though. They are too toxic and Bruce would be very unhappy at what is being allowed. May your lives move on in peace, without fear...hold your heads high, and know that some people do care.

May Bruce's daughter and the whole immediate family know that others feel for your sorrow. PLEASE feel wrapped in the little kindness that is in the world, (Bruce's loved family), and find strength from invisible arms as well as the arms that should hold you tight. No child should lose a father this young and no wife should be left with such a burden. I send prayers of strength, endurance, and quiet times to reflect upon your futures as individuals. Know that kindness is there! Love WILL bowl you over when you least expect it. The world shall have gentle surprises for you when you least suspect it; please belive in that alone. Tamela

I'm so sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. Though I didn't know him in person, I knew him online and he seemed to be a very level headed man. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to all touched by Bruce. He was a good man and will be missed by many. I always enjoyed when he would have to share his new toys and pictures of his damn dog. Bye Bruce

I am so sorry this happened. Bruce was too young. I pray for his family and children. I only heard good things about him, and know he was a good man. May God speed you on your way, Bruce.

Your face keeps flashing across my mind. It was a mere 6 weeks ago that I sat in your living room and visited with you. Your smiling eyes gazing back at me as you told me of your plans for the future but God knew what we didn't. I am grateful that we dropped in for an unannounced visit. I asked if you were mad that we just dropped in, you said you would have been mad if you heard I was in town and didn't drop by... that touched my heart. Your heart stopping, broke mine. Another reminder that we should cherish the moments with each other. I do. I know it won't be long until we see each other again, but until that time, I will hold your memory close. Love, Jen

Bruce, you were a brother and a friend. Not everything we did had a glorious ending but it was up front and together. I was so proud of what you had built for yourself as you were of my own small accomplishments. I will miss you until I see you on the other side. You came to mean something to Laura too in a very short time. Love Jerry, Laura and Lyndsey, we will miss you.

Bruce was a great friend. He was like a gunslinger in an old movie; under his gruff exterior he was honest and reliable with a heart of gold. He was always someone you could count on. He will be sorely missed.
