Obituary of Eileen Laura LaBell

Eileen celebrated her 85 birthday with as much joy as anyone could have. Over 60 friends and relitives helped her eat cake. During the early part of summer she started slowing down. All of us kids got together and gave her three huge parties and invited everyone we knew and even had relitives come from out of state. She was queen at every gathering. Life was good to her and she so enjoyed every minute of it. Her first love was family. She couldn’t have enough of us around and was game for every outing. I once over heard someone say “we could have a party for just taking the trash out!” More truth than fiction there. During the last year she went to 3 operas, a cruise to Alaske and tried to make some of her Eagle meeting. She was a 25 year member of the Eagles and partispated in many duties . Mom was a seamstress/tayor by trade but could do just about anything she set her mind to. In her last few months the family made sure she had everything she needed. We stayed with her 24 hours a day at home. We had plenty of fresh floweres, root beer floats, and any other desert we could think of! One of her favorite past times was watching the deer come in the yard. They would visit almost every day and she watched the 2 little ones grow larger than their Mom! Mommy as the family knows her is now safe with loved ones watching and is watching over all of her loved ones. Please feel free to add stories or memories.
