Obituary of Natividad Fuentes Debord

Daughter of Guadalupe Musngi and Eduardo Fuentes, sister to Eduardo (deceased), Naty was raised by her mother and stepfather Florentino Eusebio with her five stepsiblings. Her family also included three stepsisters from her father’s second marriage. A student at Saint Mary’s Academy from grade school to high school, Naty went on to Far Eastern University to become a teacher. Naty was a natural stunner whose looks caught the eye of a film director who cast her in a couple of movies during her younger years. A wonderful cook who loved watching action movies, Naty first married Engr. Paulino Castro, with whom she had 3 sons and a daughter. She migrated with her family to the US in 1984 where she met and married Charles DeBord in 1986, with whom she shared 24 loving years. Fondly known as “Tita Naty” by dear friends and family, Tita Naty was preceded in death by Paulino & Charles, and her son Edwin (Sylvia) and stepson Jimmy. A very devoted and giving mother, she’s survived by Earlwin (Ellen), Kerwin (Blanche) and only daughter, Sherwin (Jojo) as well as her stepdaughters Linda, Barbra and Tammy. She was a much-adored “Lola”, grandmother and great-grandma to her grandchildren in the US and in the Philippines. A two-time cancer survivor before she succumbed to her third bout with breast cancer, Tita Naty was as tough, brave, and strong-willed as she was beautiful. A treasured friend to many, she touched and helped so many lives in her 72 years. Always ready with a smile and a laugh, Tita Naty and her charming spirit will be missed more than words can ever say. Church service to be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 2:00 P.M. at Northwest Foursquare Church at 34800 21st Ave SW, Federal Way, WA 98023. Viewing 1:00PM - 2:00PM before service.
