Obituary of Paula Kay Warp

After courageously battling carcinoid cancer for 12 years, Paula passed away peacefully at her home in University Place. Born and raised in Seattle, Paula is a graduate of Chief Sealth High School and Highline Community College. She was one of four children born to Robert Brittingham (Dolores) and Gerry Hay (John) and just so happened to be the best mother her son Broc could have ever hoped for and Steve’s amazing wife. She was our family’s shining light. Paula will be remembered by her devoted brothers, Mike Brittingham (Joyce) and Bob Brittingham (Marlene) and by her loving sister Shelley Brittingham. Along with her immediate family, Paula holds a special place in the hearts of her in-laws, Stan and Shirley Warp. Paula worked as a manager in the medical field and in later years was co-owner of the Pine Cone Café with her husband Steve. Paula loved gardening, her koi pond and her caregiving dog and cats. Paula touched the lives of many people with her caring nature and infectious smile. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 24th, at Life Center, 1717 South Union Ave., Tacoma ,Wa 98405. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation, 198 Tremont St., Box 456, Boston, MA 02116 or online at www.caringforcarcinoid.org.
