Amby as we know him always stayed in touch with someone at home; he was the last living son of my dad's late sister Josephine. My husband hunted with Amby for many years up Lil north river in Unalakleet; he was always thought of! Peace to his memory!

My condolences to the family of Ambrose. I really enjoyed the stories he used to tell me when he was living in Unalakleet. Whenever I saw him he would ask about his Auntie, my grandmother, Gertrude Sagoonick. I had the priviledge to talk with him over the phone when I was in Seattle last February and it was heartwarming to know he still thought of his relatives here in Shaktoolik. May he rest in peace.

I would like to send my condolences to Ambrose Normans family. His Dad Carlson and my Mom Gertrude were bro and sis. Ambrose was friendly and kind to me and acknowledged me as his relative which was so neat. I liked talking and visiting with him whenever our paths cross. Peace to his memory.

We had fun the time i visited him in Unalakleet. Fishing camping hunting. Or just talking we would play cribbage and listen to the native ladies on the radio at KICY trying to sing in tune in eskimo, church songs and drink coffee inside grandpa's house while the pouring rain coming down nice and cozy with the wood stove burning.
