Obituary of Dale Steve Parkhurst

Dale Steve Parkhurst (58) passed away peacefully at a Puyallup, WA. Hospital on September 4, 2011. Dale, and his twin sister, Gail, were born on August, 3, 1953 in Seattle, WA. He grew up in Seattle, WA, Cocoa Beach, Fl. and Bellevue, WA. Dale was an engraver for several newspapers, working both in Florida and Virginia. While living in Florida he became an avid sailor and enjoyed boating. He returned to the Pacific Northwest and recently had been living and working in Tacoma. Dale was a very likeable person and had a gift of being able to make people cheer up and laugh. Dale was preceded in death by parents, Lottie and Roy Parkhurst of Bellevue, WA. Dale is survived by sisters; Caren and husband Michael of Estes Park, Colorado; Gail and husband Rich Deview of Tacoma, WA; and Diane and husband Eydun of Kauai, HI. Cremation is being handled by Edwards Memorial. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Tacoma Christian Reformed Community Church located at 2419 E. 72nd Street, Tacoma, WA 98404 with a reception following.
