Obituary of Carol June Danna

Carol June Coleman Danna November 20, 1929 – March 14, 2012 Carol Danna beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother left the world to be with our heavenly Father on March 14, 2012. Carol died suddenly, blessed to be with her son Steven Danna at the time of passing. Carol graduated in 1947 at the age 16 from Cardinal High School in Santa Cruz, California. Carol’s first job was as a movie usher. She left Santa Cruz to live in Los Angeles where she worked as a telephone operator. As a young woman she married Kevin Maguire and has a son, Michael Maguire. Carol remarried the love of her life, Charles Leonard Danna together they have five children, Steven Wayne, twins Leonard Charles and Lawrence Anthony, Suzanne Carol and Richard Coleman. Carol returned to school to begin a career in health care. She was passionate about her career at Dominican Hospital, Santa Cruz California where she worked through retirement. Carol moved to the Northwest to be close to her children and grandchildren and loved it there. Carol passions in life were family first, days at the beach, and just enjoying being outside whether gardening or strolling in the woods with the children. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Leona Coleman, infant brother Ben, Sister Betty Lou Owens, Betty’s husband Lawrence Owens, and her love Charles Danna. Carol was survived by sister, Barbara Jean Hoffman, children Mike and partner Nellie, Steven and wife Sylvia, Leonard and wife Mary, Larry and wife Lora, Suzanne and husband David and Rich and partner Fran. Grandchildren Christopher, William, Kevin, Patricia, Victoria, Angela, Jonathan, Charles, Stephanie, Tracy, Michael, Eugene, Mary, Kyle, Kayce, Chrystina, Logan, Nicholas and 16 great grandchildren. Carol was always a centrical member of our family. She always brought joy and happiness wherever she went. Carol enjoyed the simple things in life the most; this was most noticeable when she was outside gardening or just merely taking a stroll on the beach. Carol’s love of music and family carried her through life with a smile on her face and joy in her heart.
