Obituary of Janice Fay Keaveny

Janice Keaveny, a long-time resident of Washington, peacefully passed away Sunday the 9th of May at her home surrounded by her family whom loved her dearly. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles; Sons Randall (Twila), Richard, and Charles Jr. and daughters Andrea and Cynthia; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild along with many extended family members and friends. To all that knew her she was “grandma” no matter who you were. Starting each morning off with her daily crossword puzzle she was then up and on the go, staying busy. Her strong, feisty, helpful, and patient attitude made her ‘loved by all.’ Her willingness to give and help others was truly amazing. Others always came first. If there is one thing everyone agrees upon is that she has left us all wishing for just one more day with her. There will forever be memories of her witty comments, little smirks, and the never-ending attempts to dodge the camera. Camping trips, gardening, holidays, secret recipes, go-carts, snowmobiles, ATV’s, and fishing are just a few things that each of us have great memories of. She may have been small in size but she sure could pack a punch and with that being known she will be looking down and keeping us all on our toes. “We do not remember the days; we remember the moments.” Donations can be made in her name to Franciscan Hospice Foundation at PO Box 1502, Tacoma, WA 98401. Please say a prayer and keep her in your thoughts.
