He was the fifth of eleven children born to Love White, Jr. and his wife, Mary. Michael was a kind and compassionate person who actively sought to help others in need. His warmth, wisdom, and care touched the life of any person he came into contact with. He was extroverted by nature with a wry sense of humor and an impish smile that could melt hearts. Michael will be remembered as a coach, teacher and mentor to many. He proudly became a member of the Knights of Columbus in November, 2002. Those who had the pleasure to know and love him will deeply miss Michael. Michael is survived by his wife, Trudy, his three sons: Michael, Jr. and wife Terrell; Derek and wife Ruby; and Malcolm; his grandchildren: Michael III, Ryan, Dazzmanae, Kayla, Simeon and Lexi. He is also survived by his sisters; Barbara, Leola, Sandra, Marianne, and Malea, his two closest friends Ron and Linda Williams, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Love, Jr., and Mary, and his five brothers; Donald, George, Andy, Greg and Tony, Michael passed away peacefully at home in Federal Way, WA with his loving wife at his side on April 20, 2006. Despite his great pain, Michael fought a tenacious battle with cancer. His courageous struggle to survive illustrated his character as a man of strength and dignity even in the face of death. The family invites all to celebrate Michael’s life at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 30525 8th Avenue S, Federal Way on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 for the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. and the funeral on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
