Obituary of Crealo CleoRichie

Crealo Richardson (nicknames Richie and Cleo) passed on to rest in the Lord on May 15, 2011 at 4PM. He made a last prayer of commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ several days before his death, trusting in the Lord for forgiveness of sins and hoping in the promised resurrection into eternal life. (See scripture references below.*) He was born in New Haven Connecticut on April 30, 1947. His mother was Katie Richardson. He was raised from infancy by adoptive parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Moore and he grew up in Guilford, Connecticut. His 1965 Guilford High School yearbook states: Crealo Richardson Moore – Known especially for his inimitable rendition of the “Jolly Green Giant,” Cleo is our class singer. Although his participation in our many and varied Choruses have drawn him away from school, he has not found any lack of time to display his singing talents in “Brigadoon”, “Plain and Fancy”, and “Too Cool for Chimpanzees”. Cleo’s other interests are evidenced by his participation in the Projection Club, Chess Club, and Coin Club. Friendliness, a sense of humor, and a melodious voice are some of Cleo’s qualities. All will carry him far in this world. Crealo continued to carry all of these qualities throughout his life. He lived the majority of his adult life in Burlington, Vermont and moved to the state of Washington to be near his daughter for the last few years. He was well-liked by many people because of his friendliness and good sense of humor. He enjoyed basketball, baseball and football and continued to sing and love music. In Vermont, he worked as a painter for over 20 years. He is survived by his brothers and their families Tom and Sue Moore, Robert and Gloria Moore, Clifford Moore, Frederick Moore Jr., Crystal Moore and other adopted brothers and sisters. He is also survived by daughters Delanya, Tonda and adopted son Neil and their children. * If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28, 29 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:51 Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center (253)566-1008
