Obituary of Richard Stephen Clark

Richard (Rick) S. Clark, Jr. passed away on 12 February 2010, at the age of 62. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Richard S. Clark, Sr. and Patty Talman Clark on 30 November 1947. He had been a resident of Gig Harbor for ten years. Rick was educated on the East Coast, where he attended Germantown Academy and Hartwick College. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Business from Pepperdine University in California. He spent five years living in Rome, Italy, working for Omni Corporation, a wine and liquor distributor. During that time he traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Following this he was Vice President of Presto Food Products, located in City of Industry, CA. He was subsequently named President and CEO of Morningstar in Dallas, Texas. During his residency in Gig Harbor he was a consultant to various companies in the food industry, and was involved in several business ventures. Rick is survived by his wife, Anne Sadler Clark, twin daughters Emma Ashlyn and Sarah Rachel Clark, son Aidan Patric Clark, brother Peter M. Clark, of Detroit, Michigan, and his mother Patty Clark of Scottsdale, Arizona. At Rick’s request, no funeral services are planned. Memorial contributions in Rick’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are suggested.
