Obituary of Carl Franklin Newstrom

Carl Franklin Newstrom, 69 of Roy, Washington passed away Friday May 28, 2010 at his home in Roy. Carl was born January 7, 1941, the son of John and Belva Newstrom in Arlington, South Dakota. Carl also lived in Utah and California Carl then moved to Washington in 1984. Carl is survived by his significant other Penney, four sisters, a daughter and some grandkids. Proceeded in death by his son James. Carl was a member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Carl also baptized for the Dead. Carl was a hard worker, he was a welder and logger. He loved the woods and cut most of his firewood he sold out of Fort Lewis with his friends and loved ones. Carl always took care of his family. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet unless you crossed him. Carl will be missed by the ones that loved him the most. I’m Going Fishing I’m going where there’s mountains high. And pines that reach to touch the sky. There’ll be a laughing mountain stream. Where I can wade along and dream. The many cares that plague me so. Can never follow where I go. I’ll see God’s creatures all about. And I’ll try to catch that rainbow trout. For just one long and happy day. I’ll put all care and woes away. I’ll see the sun sink in the west. And watch the birds that go to rest. Then I will have to go once more. To the some old world I had before. But I’ll go back another day. To catch the one that got away.
