Hey,Dana.I know you remember me. I think I knew you long before a lot of other people. You were 19 and endured 2 highschool proms just to make me happy! We weathered a lot of storms in those years but you always made me smile. A lot has changed since I last saw you but I will always have your voice in my heart. Goodbye.

Shannon, I have known you for four years now and we have become good friends. We have talked a lot about getting our hearts broken time and time again...until you met Dana. I never saw you so happy and so completely in love until Dana came into your life. You could see it in his eyes that he felt the same about you. You two were inseparable from the very begining. It is such a terrible shame that he was taken from you so soon. He will always be in your heart and be watching over you.

Dana, I still miss you. You are one in a million. I am so disapointed and hurt about what happened to you. I was anticipating getting to know you better. I realized the uniqueness of our assoication. It is not everyday that I, a commoner has the opportunity to rub shoulders with a ranger. Besides your military experience, people like you are not born everyday. I hope to see you again soon in the name of Jesus.

Shannon, You and all of the family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Light a Candle Light a candle for those we mourn. Into a new life they will be born. Do not look for them at the gravesite. They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light. They have gone to a new world where there is no darkness, no pain. Their light and essence will always remain. Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place. They are free to travel through time and space. When we think of them, they are near. When we sit in a beautiful garden. Their voices we hear. When we listen to a divine symphony, We close our eyes, their faces we see. Light a candle for they have not really gone. With each flickering flame, in your hearts they will always belong. (c) A.Pell 24/08/2005

Dana, I salute you as a fellow soldier, and a good friend. You brought a certain air of 'common sense,' superb motivation and a drive for life that is a part of you. I so very much enjoyed the friendship, and I miss you popping by with good solid word and a hearty welcome, no matter what time of day. My prayers and heartfelt condolances go out to Shannon, and to all of the families involved. God bless, bro. 'De Oppresso Liber!' Brent Thompson U.S. Army Special Forces, Retired PA-C

Shannon, I have known you for ten years and have never seen you happier. Dana put that smile on your face and love in your heart. It broke my heart to see you so devastated. Fate took Dana from your life too soon but the memories and love will live forever. God placed Dana in your life for a reason. Now you will be blessed with a special guardian angel watching over you. When you search the night sky for answers remember that the brightest star is Dana smiling down on you. Smile back Shannon because he will be waiting for you! Celebrate the love you had for each other - I know he is telling everyone in Heavan about his true love - his Shannon! Plant a white rose bush in his honor - cherish it always.

You probable never understood the impact you had on those you loved and met during your life. Your obvious love of life and concern for others was always obvious. Your smile and the ever present twinkle in your eyes was infectious to all. I came to know you through Shannon and am blessed to have known you even though it was all to short. Save a spot for an old 1SGT. Though I didn't wear the tab, I felt an instant brotherhood with you. May God keep you protected in eternity

I did not know Dana, but am friends with Shannon. As a fellow soldier, my heart goes out to his family, friends, kids and loved ones. As fathers we all share a common bond, no matter how strong or how slight. My heart goes out especially to his kids. I pray the Lord will comfort those left behind and allow you to remember and honor him with some solace. To Shannon and Cody, you're in my prayers.

When I first met Dana I thought he was cocky, but very funny. He would pull tricks on his coworkers and just laugh at the results. I have learned that you can't put a sign on a person and then just leave them, when I saw the love, for his kids, it changed my heart attitude toward him overnight. I loved to watch Dana and Robert laugh so hard that their heads were all red. And then I noticed a twinkle in his eyes, when he talked about Shannon, he was in love, I mean ' IN LOVE '.He really loved his lady. Gentle Warrior your home now at rest, in the loving arms of Jesus. You were taken too soon. Your brother honored you well, your family misses you, we are better people for having you in our lives. Madigan will be a little less without your presence. I can still see your wonderful smile and I can still hear your laugh. Rest well my friend, your work is done, your task complete. You are loved, Enjoy heaven Dana Rock on dude....rock on.
