Obituary of James Edward Gold

Our loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was born in Monterey, California to the parents of Barbara and James Gold Sr. He passed away very peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on January 27, 2012 with tremendous honor. He is survived by his dads, James Gold Sr., William Lagerstrom, and Charles Johnson, Two daughters Casey and Kurrie Gold, three grand children Anthony James Schwendeman, Kelsey Leanna Cavanaugh & Kayla Lynn Cavanaugh. Six sisters, Staci Jacobs, Carol Stormo, Kimberly Lagerstrom, Stephanie Gold, Mary Ellen Johnson, and Susan Johnson, as well as two brothers Stephen Gold, and Michael Johnson, as well as nieces and nephews whom all he loved dearly! He was greeted in heaven by his mother Barbara Jean Johnson and his niece Ashlee Jacobs along with several other loved ones. We want to remember him for his charasmatic charm, his humor, his passion and his love for everything and every person he encountered. We will never forget his love for sports, both playing and watching! Can't forget the football pools he did while working at PPI, Inc. and all the softball days those guys all had together. He had a full and action filled life. He spent some time in the Carribean selling timeshares, and relaxing on white sandy beaches. He was the kind of man that would give his belongings away to the less fortunate, including his BINGO winnings while spending his final months at CLC American Lake VA. He was a very strong man with an even stronger heart! He wrote this poem... The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete,And so, He called it ...
