Obituary of Alf Lester Tjelde

Alf Lester Tjelde age 82, passed away January 20, 2012. He was born on July 1, 1929 in Cartwright, ND to Jorgen and Hilda Tjelde. He leaves behind his sister Janette A. Tjelde of Williston, ND; sons Robert Tjelde (Sonia), Steven Tjelde (Denise), Randy Tjelde (Kristi) of Tacoma, daughters, Barbara Pelham (Dennis) of Morton, Debra Tjelde of Kent and 10 grandchildren. In the early years, Alf had his own farm in North Dakota, he work combining for others until which time he went to Tacoma and Worked for Woodworth Construction. He belonged to the Laborer’s Union. Through out the years, dad enjoyed hunting, salmon fishing and bingo. He is loved and will be missed by many. Family grave side Services will be on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at Fir Lane Memorial Park 924 East 176th St, Spanaway, WA 98387. Following there will be an open house Memorial from 2PM to 4PM at the home of Steve Tjelde, 13208 Bingham Ave E, Tacoma, WA 98446.
