Obituary of Doris Irene Yates

Doris Irene Yates of Poulsbo, WA Aug. 25, 1925 to May 18, 2009 My beloved mother, Doris Irene Yates, passed away from natural causes on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center in Bremerton, Wa. She lived her 83 years with zest, compassion, love, patience and the ability to make everyone's life she touched better! She made many friends in the community where she lived in Poulsbo, Wa. for 16 years. She was born in Marengo, Iowa, and graduated from Hyde Park High School in Chicago, IL with honors. Her parents passed away many years ago, as did her brothers Byron and Stub, and her sister Gladys Snodgrass. She has one living sister, Cleava Boysen. We will all miss her very much, especially her daughter Debbie Morgen and daughter Jennifer, son Ryan Gurwell with wife Danielle and their 2 children Andrew and Lucas; her son Chuck with wife Fay and their 2 children Sean and Talia; her son Larry with wife Maria, their daughter Nikki, and Maria's mother, and her very good friend and neighbor Floy Aschenberger. Doris knows Jesus as her personal savior and is with him now. She was my best friend, and I will never be the same without her. Our memorial service is TBA.
