Obituary of Merton Paul Felix

Merton P. Felix, born September, 1928, in Tacoma, Washington, passed peacefully on January 6 in his Tacoma home. Mert spent many years in the automobile/R.V. business on South Tacoma Way. In 1968, he became the owner/operator of Felix N Wolf Auto/R.V. Sales. Most of Mert's life was spent sharing his passion for the water with his family on Lake Louise. Other great passions wwere traveling in his motor home to his Ocean Shores and Hood Canal properties, and boating on Puget Sound and Hood Canal. Mert was an active member of the Afifi Shrine, acting as Circus Chairman for 25 years, and serving as Director of the Directors' Staff. He was also a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Fairweather Lodge, Eagles, Elks, and T.O.A.. Mert was survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis, daughter Gayle (John) Ashworth, sons Dennis (Elizabeth) and Kevin (Peggy) Felix, brother Jennings (Lucille) Felix, siter-in-law Joy (Todd) McFadden, daughter-in-law Susan (Michael) Schmitt, five grandsons, Chad and Kelly Felix, Adam and Paul Ashworth and Derek Hayward, seven great-gradchildren, and devoted friend Roy (Jennifer) Burnside, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to The Shriners' Hospital for Children, 815 S Vassault, Tacoma, WA 98465 A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, January 16, at Aifi Shrine Ceter, 815 S Vassault, Tacoma, at 2:00pm.
