Young Cho

Obituary of Young Ja Cho

Beloved great-grandmother Young Ja Cho, born near Seoul South Korea on February 12,1923 past away on July 28, 2011 at 930pm. She was cherished and respected, as a determined and gentle lady of 88. ‘Halmeoni’ her nickname (Korean for grand mother- sounds like Harmony in English) was surrounded by her daughters Soon Ja Keele (University Place WA), Young Ae Theetge (Coolidge AZ), and Young In Wipprecht (Prescott Valley AZ), grand children James Keele (WA), Geraldine Keele-Jo (WA), and David Keele (WA), great grand children Hasani Childs, and Imani Childs, and loved ones Robert Childs, Tarik Jordan, Dan and Kim (all from WA) at her home in University Place, the residence of her eldest daughter and care givers Soon Ja Keele and grand daughter Geraldine Keele-Joe. Two other daughters Young Ae and Young In, having just arrived from Arizona gave much comfort to Harmony, but also the rest of the family and loved ones and especially to their eldest sister Soon. Sons Young Soo Kim (Seoul ROK), Young On Kim (Seoul ROK) and daughters Soon Yi Kim (Seoul ROK) and Young L Kim (Gilbert AZ) were not able to attend in person, but were on the phone and in spirit when Harmony left us. The support for the family from all in her last days was a comfort and happiness for Young Ja. We all miss you Harmony, and feel the joy you have given us as a family will help balance our sorrow. Harmony yeppoyo (Harmony ‘pretty’). Memorial services will be held in University Place this Saturday July 30, 2011 at 630pm for Family and invited friends.
