Obituary of Brynn Lee Doyle

Ms. Brynn Lee Doyle, 59, succumbed to long term health issues on June 11, 2011. A native of Houston, Texas, she is survived by her sons, Landon and Shane, a grandson Noah, her mother Elaine McMaster, and her sister Janice Patronella-McMaster. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Landon McMaster. As a mother, friend, and creative spirit, her artistic nature will live on through the many she touched. Her passions in life were caring for the elderly, and love for her dog “Duke”. Memorial Services were held July 7th, 2011 at 3pm at Marine View Presbyterian Church in NE Tacoma, Washington. Ms. Doyle, LVN, Home Health Nurse, Wound Care Specialist Author, Lecturer and Instructor had been a resident of Federal Way, and more recently Tacoma since relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 1998 from Houston. Brynn graduated first in her Class from LVN school in 1971 at age 19. At that time, she was the youngest ever licensed and made the highest Board Scores ever attained, in Texas. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston at age 30, with a double Major in Behavioral Science and English Literature, and a Full Minor in Biology. Ms. Doyle started her career as ‘Charge Nurse’ in a nursing home before moving to open the first Home Health Hospice in Sugarland, TX. She attended 18 months of Graduate school seeking a degree in Hospital Administration before deciding her calling was in patient advocacy and as a caregiver. One of her greatest triumphs was her success in completely healing a woman dying of blood poisoning from multiple bed sores and poor nursing home care. She was justifiably proud to have been written up in national Nursing Journal. This was just one of countless patients she restored to health through her application of Effective Wound Care. Brynn was an avid reader and loved to share her books with others. She also loved animals, especially the many dogs she had in her lifetime. Brynn was a member of Marine View Presbyterian Church and a Deacon at the time of her passing.
