Obituary of Mary Jo Sullivan

Midge Sullivan, after a brief illness, booked a permanant holiday the morning of April 8th 2010. With her at the time of departure was her niece Colleen, her nephew Bill, and her great niece Genna Carrature. Her flight was uneventful, and we're hopeful she reached her final destination ahead of schedule. Unable to see her off at the airport were her other great nephews and nieces; Matthew Sullivan, Samantha Carrature, Ali Rogers, Danny Rogers, and Annie Fratzke. Upon arrival, we highly suspect Midge was met by her mother, Marian Henry Sullivan, brother William J. Sullivan, and niece Maureen Sullivan Rogers. Midge was born on December 7th 1941 and raised on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. Her early childhood years were spent in the old Irish projects in the shadow of Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Consequently, she was a life long fan of The Cleveland Indians. Her other passions included traveling, gardening, family, friends, and the many critters which seemed to pop up wherever she lived. Midge spent most of her life in the airline industry, first with American, then nearly thirty years with Northwest Orient. A social activist, and unapologectic Democrat to the end, she moved in wide circles and leaves behind a world of diverse friends. Donations to honor her memory can be made to her favorite charities, The Society For The Blind, or PETA.
