Obituary of Quinton Everett Smith

Quinton was born November 20, 1916 to Charles and Alvira Smith, in Red Horse Colorado. He went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2011. He was preceded in his homegoing by his beloved wife Bessie of 60 years and son Henry. He is survived by his children Jenean, Karen, Harlan, Wendall, and Dean. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Quinton was a guy with a broad background of life experiences. He was on his own at 13 riding the rails to find work to survive. His life experiences included cowboy, rancher, boxer, bull rider, rodeo clown, contractor, guitar player with the Old Time Fiddlers and years in the recycling business. Favorite family memories include his example as an active participant in everything having to do with the church, his being an avid fisherman, having a strong work ethic, and always whistling as he made his way through life. His greatest treasure was his family and he instilled in us a love for God here on earth as he prepared for his ultimate treasure in Heaven. The family has agreed that remembrances would be best utilized if directed to his surviving developmentally disabled daughter in care of Karen Smith. The family invites those of you that can attend to an open house on Sunday February 6th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm to commemorate his life. Please contact the family for location.
