Obituary of Silke Regina Leety

A memorial and commitment service for Ms. Silke Regina Ernst Leety, wife of Scott Leety, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011, at the National Veterans Cemetery in Florence, S.C. conducted by, Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Floyd Douglas Allen. Memorials may be made to: Tacoma Christian Center, Treasure Island Child Care (3523 E. McKinley Ave. Tacoma, WA 98404). Silke Leety, 42, died February 11, 2011, in Tacoma, WA. She was born October 4, 1968, in Bamberg, Germany, to Joseph Ernst and Anni Boellner Ernst Allen, both now deceased. Upon her mother’s remarriage, Silke was lovingly welcomed into a new, extended family. Silke’s family moved several times due to military reassignment, and eventually settled in Lakewood, W.A., where she graduated from Pierce County Community College. She was a member of the Tacoma Christian Center church, serving in the Puppetry, Drama, and Children’s ministries. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her step-father, Frank Allen, Sr.; sister, Brigitti Fritz (Bernd); brother, Juergen Ernst (Helga); step-brothers, Frank Allen, Jr., Christopher Allen (Nawanna), and Bob Anthony Allen (Kristy); maternal aunt, Walli Schneiderbanger (Hans); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
