Jackie was a dear and sweet person, she will be greatly missed by all. Jackie had a great sense of humor she would always have a cute story or some kind words to say. Jackie and Glenn would come over every 4th of July to celebrate the holiday at my parents house. Of course she would make her amazing birds and other cute origamis, the kids always liked them, She always floated around making sure to talk with everyone and catch up on what was new and exciting. The entire extended family will miss Jackie greatly. Erika, Peter, Allison, Debbie, Brock, Matt and Jen along with all the children send our condolences and prayers to you Glenn and your family.

I will always remember the outings in her backyard(that would be forest to the rest of us). She would show me the different mushrooms and which ones were edible. She was always in an up mood that would spread to others around her, and I'm sure all of us who new Jackie will sincerely miss her.

To Glenn and Marlaina, My sincerest sympathies to you both. Jackie was one of the most unique and warm souls I have ever met. She never failed to bestow a magical treat from her purse upon me and my staff. She brightened each and every day that I saw her. The joy she sprinkled lasted long after her visit with a rippling effect that is still present today. I have also never known two such compatible peas in a pod. Glenn, you two were the absolute complement to each other. The special bond you shared was immediately apparent the first time I met you. I am truly sorry for the pain that lies ahead for you, and wish for you only what time can offer. My thoughts are with you. And Marlaina, how lucky you were to have such a kind, caring, and free spirited mother. The gifts she has bestowed upon you are yet to be discovered as you travel further into life. You could not have flourished to be the talented and open minded woman you are today without the nurturing of two extremely attentive parents. Because of them, you are wise beyond your years. My sympathies, Patricia Weiss

I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of Jacklyn Shephard. What a difficult time it is when we lose a loved one in death. Jacklyn will be dearly missed. The Bible provides us with the finest basis of comfort, especially at a time like this. When my mother passed away, after a long battle with cancer, a scripture that greatly helped me with my loss is Isaiah 25:8: 'He will actually swallow up death forever, and the sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.' What a beautiful scripture! God's promise of a time when there will be no more pain, suffering, or death. Also, Psalms 146:5, 9: 'Happy is the one...whose hope is in Jehovah God...The fatherless boy and the widow he relieves.' Right now God has such a loving concern for bereaved ones. I hope these verses will be a source fo comfort to you, as they have been to me. Again, my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jacklyn Shephard. Sincerely, Vaughan Amende

I attended school with Jackie and Glen in University Place -- elementary through high school graduation. We were in Girl Scouts together and I remember going to her home. While I haven't seen Jackie since high school, I appreciate having her friendship during our school years. My best wishes go to her family -- know that there are many people sending you positive thoughts. Peace be with you.

Glen, My heart goes out to you for the loss of your dear love. Jackie was a wonderful person. I always admired her kindness and cheery disposition. The obituary and the guest book entry you wrote are beautiful and fitting tributes to her. I admire your attentive and sacrificial love and service to her over the years. I know the last few years have been challenging, but I imagine life without her will be harder in many ways. We all experience grief differently, but I am here for you if you ever want to talk with someone whose been down a similar road.

I can't believe that I met Jackie in 1982. Our babies were just babies back then. It was wonderful to watch them grow up together. Jackie was such a sweet person I will miss her calls and chatting with her about family and friends. She loved life. We will all miss her and her gentle soul. Rest in peace.

Though I knew Jackie for a fairly short time it didn't take long to figure out what a kind heart she had. I am blessed to have called her friend. From my first origami crane to our shared snow bunny, Jackie always put a smile on my face and lightened my heart. I will miss her visits, phone calls and treats from her magic handbag. May she live forever in our hearts.

Dear Jackie, We will miss you greatly, sweety. You have been a special treasure in our lives and I am eternally greatful to have known you as well as I have, for these many years. We had a number of late night conversations when everyone had gone home and Glenn & you were the only ones left. While the guys were downstairs we would talk of our appreciation, and our concerns for our families, and pray for them on occasions. Thank you for your many check ins during the week. You have kept the family connected in your own sweet way. We love you and look forward to a better day in our Heavenly Father's prepared place. John 14:1-6 Love you, Teena Jones Sister-in-law
