Obituary of Valerie Ann Gainey Evans

Valerie Ann Gainey Evans, 38, of Puyallup, Washington, passed into eternal rest on Friday, August 5, 2011 and was greeted in heaven by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth. Valerie was born to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Thomas) Gainey on December 14, 1972 at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her memory will be cherished by her husband Edward and their daughter, Chloe Elizabeth; step-daughter Tiffany (Justin, TX); two brothers, Wesley Gainey (Seymour, TN) and Stephen Gainey (Indianapolis, IN) and two sisters, Mitzi Milner and Robin Waltz, both of Indianapolis; and 13 nieces and nephews. Valerie was a loving wife and a doting mother who cherished her family, country, and her friends, especially her girlfriends at the Sunrise Baptist MOPS Program. The Evans and Gainey families are grateful for their support during this difficult time. Visitation and services will be held on Thursday, August 11 at the Sunrise Baptist Church, 12115 Shaw Road East, Puyallup, WA 98374. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the memorial service at 10:00am. Valerie will be laid to rest with full military honors at The Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th Street Covington, WA 98042 at 2:00pm. Indianapolis, Indiana services will be held at The Greenwood Christian Church, 2045 Averitt Road, Greenwood, IN 46143 on August 27 with visitation at 10am and the service following at 11am. Because Valerie’s legacy is her loving daughter Chloe Elizabeth, her final wish was that donations be made to the Chloe Elizabeth Evans Education Fund at any U.S. Bank, 5616 176th Street East, Puyallup, WA 98375.
