When you think of Raymond, you just have to smile. There is nothing that describes how he made people feel more than that. He was a real funny guy. He was my best friend and sometimes my only friend. He was so cool, so smart, he could think fast on his feet and had the gift of gab, Wow, I thought he was brilliant and he was. Our first day of school - PS-39 (dont remember going to school that first day, but I do remember when I came out, he was standing there waiting for me and we went home hand in hand) They say its not how you start but how you finish that counts, in this case I think its the other way around. Our beginning was great there were no obstacles to big for us to handle, no problem we couldnt solve together. We laughed and laughed, we always had each other, no matter what us against the world: hows that for a wonderful beginning. My favorite attribute stems from the person that Raymond was and what he taught me and thats Loyalty. No matter what, if I turned around he was standing there. Obviously when he left all our lives changed and nothing was ever the same again. Over the years we drifted further and further apart, but, I will never forget how he made us laugh and how much I adored him and I can honestly say Everybody loved Raymond. Valerie Horton

Pat was a wonderful husband. He had that great big beautiful smile and shared it frequently. I think in all the years we were maried I only heard him raise his voice in anger once or twice but it was never directed at me. It was usually about his job, which he was passionate about. He loved to fish and we would always go out to the dock at Dash Point and fish all day long. He would come home and clean them right away, season them and save a few out for dinner. The rest would go into the freezer. He wouldn't throw the little ones back either. He would say that they were the sweetest and would just eat three or four of those little things at a sitting. He would pick them clean too! There is so much of him that I miss and this house will always have a empty place in it because of his absence. I remember whenever he heard a big plane out of McChord fly over the house he would say 'Do you know what that is? That's the Sound of Freedom!' I love you Pat and always will. May you rest in peace and fly freely. Your wife, now and forever.....Pat

We liked Raymond Patrick from the first time we met him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and was relaxed and friendly to everyone. We will miss him around the campfire, and family gatherings. We wish you peace and rest. Love, Dolly & Jerry
