Obituary of Shelly Suzzane Graham

SHELLY S. GRAHAM, daughter of Michael C. Graham, Pacific ,WA, and Linda L. Gardner (Kent), Preston, Idaho, quietly slipped from this life on Friday morning of May 4, 2012. Shelly was born December 5, 1968, in Seattle, Washington, the eldest of five children. Shelly is survived by her parents, brother Troy (Cindy) Graham, Lacey, WA; sister Amy (Jamil) Graham-Myrie, Englewood, NJ; brother Tracey (Tina) Graham, Algona, WA; sister, Becky Stevens-Graham (Randy), Pacific, WA; several nephews and nieces, and her cat, Tiger. Shelly enjoyed family barbeques, camping, doing hand work, crochet, hand sewing. She loved music and volunteering. Shelly was a devoted NASCAR fan. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Communication degree from Renton Technical College and was certified as a 911 operator. A highlight of her life was attending an emergency response conference in Washington, D.C. and visiting the Gettysburg Civil War Battle site. Shelly often helped at the police station or fire station. She enjoyed reading to children at the library every week. Shelly was a beautiful and loving soul who found joy in helping others in need. She gave of her time and herself through her volunteer work... this is her legacy. She is now free and light. We hope she was met by a special friend, Jeff, who loved and cared deeply for her. He went some time ago, and she missed him. The family wishes to thank the Franciscan Hospice staff and volunteers for their kindness shown to Shelly and her family in her final days with us. Thanks also to the medical staff at Valley Medical Center in Renton for the care provided to Shelly. Memorial contributions may be made to the WSCFF Benevolent Fund, 1069 Adams Street Southeast, Olympia, WA 98501. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial 253-566-1008.
