With deep sorrow we send our condolonces. The love between the two of you was very apparent. Though our time together was brief, you made what could have been a difficult time for us very enjoyable. The Lord knows your sorrow. Know he is there for you. ~Sean, Lisa, CJ, & Owen

To all touched by Lonnie's life: Regardless of how long you knew her, I feel like she left an imprint on our lives. After meeting Lonnie for the first time, I knew I'd remember her, so I know that the ones who meant the most to her will keep her spirit alive every day. Mike, please call me at the bank if there's anything I can do for you.

From Lonnie's heart to all who knew her: DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP. I AM NOT THERE, I DO NOT SLEEP. I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW, I AM THE DIAMOND GLINT ON SNOW. I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENED GRAIN, I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMN RAIN. WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING HUSH, I AM THE SWIFT, UPLIFTING RUSH OF QUIET BIRDS IN CIRCLING FLIGHT, I AM THE SOFT STARLIGHT AT NIGHT. DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP, I AM NOT THERE, I DO NOT SLEEP.

It shall be known and remembered, of past revelations, and recent history does provide: the moving finger sometimes does go back--not to rewrite but to reread. And what was once dismissed, derided, mocked, may, in the fullness of a moon or two or even years, be hailed as wisdom. Spoken forthrightly at that earlier time, and having needed courage to face the obloquy of others less perceptive, though burdened with invective....remind yourself: a prophets' seldom praised before sunset on the day he or she first proclaims unpalatable truths. But if and when your truths in time become self-evident, their author vindicated, be at that harvest moment: forgiving, gracious, broad of mind, large-purposed, amused by life's contrariness. For not to all, only a few are presbyopic gifts: long vision, clarity, sagacity...whether by chance, through lottery at birth or bestowed by bitter nature, but by yourself and those who through abiding faith and oneness with you through love shall know you. And celebrate you. And remember you........I miss you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow. 381, michael.

Mike, I remember with such good feeling the early days and our camping trip to the River. Lonnie will always be remembered and you are in my prayers. I hope people know that Lonnie was an affordable housing pioneer in Washington. She began rehabilitating houses on Hilltop in Tacoma in the 80's and was one of the original 'road warrior bankers' traveling the State to help build the affordable housing community. We had a ball working together at Rainier & Security Pacific. Lonnie could always make my wild ideas work and add her own creativity. Her 'take no prisoners' style kept me on my toes and got so much good done. I'll miss our talks and laughs but I know she is in a good place continuing to help us all. Hold her in your heart Mike, you will always have her love. God Bless you, Judy

On behalf of Lonnie's many friends and colleagues in the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of NAHRO, please accept our heartfelt condolences. Lonnie shared her passion for helping those less fortunate with all of us in so many different ways. She was always willing to share her knowledge to ease the way for those of us with less experience in the development of affordable housing. Her legacy will be carried on in those of us she helped. Her creativity, skill and dedication will stand for years to come in the numerous units of affordable housing developed through her involvement. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you for sharing your wonderful wife with so may of us over the years.

On behalf of Northeast Washington Housing Solutions (her former employer)the Board of Commissioners and all our staff, we want to express our sympathy to Mike and surviving family member and close family friends. Lonnie was a long time professional dedicated to the promotion of affordable housing for rental, as well as, first time home ownership opportunities. During her tenure with our agency she promoted the development of over 800 housing units and approximately 50 opportunities for families to purchase their first home. As a professional, fellow-worker, partner and friend she will be missed by the greater community of Spokane that she served in her last chapter in her long career. Lonnie leaves behind success in terms of community partnerships and experiences, sucessful housing developments and the happy families that occupy the housing.
