Obituary of Lorraine Vivian Manning

Born in Jamestown, North Dakota October 1, 1919 and passed away peacefully January 25, 2011 at the age of 91. The family moved to Tacoma in 1944, she and husband Kenneth owned and operated South Tacoma Cleaners until finally retiring in the 1980’s. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church for 66 years. She is preceded in death by husband Kenneth, Parents J.J. and Lenore Barton, Sister Laverne Barrett, and Brother Harold Barton. She is survived by her 6 children Diane Miller (Chuck), Jack Manning (Joan), Jane Stockman (Fred), Timothy Manning (Judy), Michael Manning (Diane), James Manning, sister Mary Peters of Phoenix, and Maurice Barton of Devil’s Lake, North Dakota. Lorraine has 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Lorraine requested no services. We will have a memorial gathering at a later date and all our big family will be informed.
