Bruce was the best father-in-law a woman could ask for her son. He was a great mentor. He gave a helping hand, a kind word, and wise advice for all who asked. His legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those he touched with his loving kindness. He was rare and great man and he will truly be missed.

Uncle Bruce~ You were more than just an uncle, a grandpa, a father,a son, a brother, a cousin, a husband or a friend, You were more than that, In our eyes you were a hero, You impacted every ones life who met you, We shared so many wonderful memories with you, Everytime we saw you our hearts began beating faster, You always put a smile on our faces, Its sad that you are not still here with us today, But we have something to look forward to, We know that when it is our time to come join you in heaven, You will greet us at the gates with a smile on your face, But until that time comes watch over us and keep us safe, And remember, You will never be forgotten, You will stay in our hearts forever, We love you.

I will always remember my bashful Uncle Bruce. He was sweet and gentle, but my favorite memory of Uncle Bruce is the way he loved and adored Aunt Jeanie. My heart is with you all as you remember him. Love, Amy

I am so sorry for your loss. I rarely had the oportunity to visit with Bruce and in reading the other kind words written here to you, you will miss a very precious part of your life. It will take time to heal, but when you do, you will smile at the memories that only you, his cherished family, have. How lucky to have had such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, even though the time was all too short. I was unable to attend his services, but from what I understand, it was well attended and Bruce had to have been proud to realize that his friends and family were all united at his death as they had been in his life. Take care of yourselves and I hope that you can find comfort somehow during this time.

Bruce was a great brother, and I really enjoyed all the time I spent with him building the bridge. I also enjoyed the early morning coffee/breakfast's we would have on the weekend, I will miss him. My thoughts are with his family, Jeanie, the girls & their husbands & kids at this time.

Bruce was a great Brother-in-law and friend. I will miss his visits @ 7am on the weekends when he would come to have coffee & meet up with my husband Marvin. He always had a smile on his face & he had a way of smiling with his eyes as well. He was a big help with the remodel of our kitchen & also the building of our shed, we could'nt have done it with out him. My thoughts & prayers are with Jeanie & the family.

You left us way too soon and you will be missed so very much by all who knew your quiet ways and the sparkle in your eyes. We loved to visit you and always appreciated you sharing Jeanie with us on our special occasions! The bridge will be a constant reminder that we are just a few steps from crossing it to the other side where someday we can all be together again. All our love, Corine and Gene

What I know of Bruce is the talented creative craftsman he was and I truely appreciate all the things he created and built. I especially love the treasure chest he put in the pond under the dock. He took the time to add special touches that add magic to ordinary things. You will be greatly missed.

In the short time that I knew Bruce, I learned a lot from him. Be humble, love your family and friends, and keep them close. I learned this from the way he treated others, his family, his friends, and it was an invaluable lesson. Rarely do you meet a person who has such a strong impact on your life, but that is the impact that Bruce had on me. He was always there with a piece of advice, or a congratulations, or just a friendly smile, to let you know you were part of something, and it's rare that you can get that from someone in such a short time, with such few words. I got that from Bruce, and I thank him for it everyday.

Being Megan's best friend now for almost eighteen years I have grown to know her family as my own. I know how deeply Bruce will be missed. Even though I may have never gotten to know him as well as I would have liked I loved him just the same. He was the best husband, father and grandfather I have ever met. We must all remember the memories and trust that this was not goodbye but I will see you later.
