He is also survived by his parents Martin and Gloria Rivera as well has his brothers Oscar and Martin and sister Dianna. He will be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews and well as his many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved Pookie Trevor. Albert was born and raised in Gary Indiana. He has strong ties to the Chicago area. He would talk with pride about the sports teams (Cubs, Bears, and White Sox). He also loved the food in the Chicago land area. He was thrilled when his family found a website where you could have the famous Hot Dogs, Pizza, and other foods delivered to him. Albert lived for a few years in Gillette Wyoming where he lived with his wife Caycee. This is where both of his daughters were born. He had many friends in Gillette including his brothers and sisters in law. Some of his most discussed memories were barbecuing on New Years Day when it was so cold his beer froze in the short amount of time it took him to flip the steaks and pizza and game night every Friday with his friends. Albert and his family moved to Tacoma Washington in November of 1990. When they arrived they moved into a home in the South End of Tacoma. Albert never left this neighborhood and truly considered it home. Albert was a commercial painter who was very proud of his work. As well as painting residential homes; he also painted commercial building including the Columbia Seafirst tower and the Space Needle in Seattle. When he first moved to Tacoma he also worked in the shipyards painting ships. Albert Rivera was a man like no other. He jumped at the chance to help a friend out.
