Obituary of Mike Erb

In loving memory of Mike Erb who was born in Tacoma, WA to Ray and Sally Erb. He shared the same birthday as his father. He attended Mont Downing, Riverside, Aylen and graduated from Puyallup High School in 1985. His electrical career began at Bates Vocational College and continued with several Washington electrical companies. Mike loved music and attended too many concerts to count. He had an extensive music collection and there were always tunes playing at his house or in his car. As he got older his collection became more diverse but he still loved hard rock. In recent years he transfered his collection to the computer where he could quickly give you a vast choice of music by artist. Mike was an accomplished cook. When he left home he told his family that he needed a crockpot, an indoor grill and a teflon pan and he would be able to cook anything. Of course his utensils expanded with time and he really could cook about anything. His speciality was grilling with a briquet grill, sharing many delicious meals with family and friends. Another favorite pastime was playing games like Acey-Deucey on the Backgammon board, Aggravation, the dice game of 10,000, Cribbage, Chess and recently Sequence and Rummikub. Many hours were spent enjoying the company of others while playing these and other games. Mike's smile and humor could liven up any group. We will all miss him each and every day. He will always be in our hearts. Keep the tunes cranking! A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 4:00pm to 8:30pm at the Point Defiance Owens Beach picnic area.
