Obituary of Ronald James Hulon
Ron was born April 23 1949 and passed into the arms of our heavenly father August 30th 2011. Ron was a lifelong resident of the Tacoma, Pierce County area. Ron attended Concordia Lutheran for grades K-9, Class of 1967, a graduate of Tacoma’s Lincoln High School. Ron was a gentle quiet man.
Ron worked in road construction industry as a traffic flagger and later as a road grader. After many years in this industry, Ron changes his focus to return to school and earn an Associate Degree from Tacoma Community College and was awarded his Bachelor’s Degree from Chapman University. Ron recently worked for the Metropolitan Development Council as a drug and alcohol Counselor also on the staff of the SBRIT Program. Ron was highly thought of by his co-workers and staff at Tacoma General Hospital.
Ron enjoyed a good game of scrabble, (if you were in the game with Ron it was a good game!!). Taught by his grandmother, Ron also enjoys the game of cribbage. Lately Emerald Downs was an annual event with his brother & sister in-law, sponsored by the Catholic Women’s Association, a fun time!!
Ron is preceded in death by his mother Shirley M. Connolly, His Father Lester J. Hulon. Ron is survived by a son Alexander J. Hulon, Brothers, Keith P. Kitto (Flor), John G. Kitto (Mary), Terry E. Kitto. Sisters Susan L. Martin (Sam), Carole R. Watts (Robert), Staci Y. Spring (Doug) Linda Barnhart (Larry), Uncle Leroy (Marilyn) Van Allen.
A memorial is planned for a date in the near future.
