Obituary of Violet Mae VanDiest

Violet Mae Fredricks Van Diest, age 103 and 8 months. Was born on June 17th 1908, and passed away on March 26th, 2012, she passed peacefully at her son's home in Tacoma, WA. in her own bed. She is survived by two children, Earl (Dale) Van Diest Jr. and his wife Karen of Tacoma. Daughter Marilyn L. Bates and husband Morgan of Port Orchard, WA., Daughter in Law Patricia Van Diest of Poulsbo, WA. Violet had 6 Grandchildren-Skip, Kim, Sally, Angela, Guy and Chris, twelve great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Earl Van Diest Sr. in 1969, an infant Daughter Bette Jean in 1929, and adult son Kenneth in 1998. Violet had four brothers, Dewey, Ervin, Delbert and Forest all who also preceeded her in death. Burial will take place in the family plot, Tahoma Cemetery, Yakima, WA. at a later date.
