Kay was one of the dearest friends we have ever known. She managed alone, after her husband's passing, a property for us and still managed to fit in her hours working at the Broadway until age 75! You'd never have known Kay was that age with her spirited demeanor and caring, loving ways with our family as well as hers and her many, many friends! We considered Kay and her family as part of 'our' family and they felt the same. It was a sad time when Kay left us to go north to Tacoma to be with Den and Donna, although we knew in our hearts that it was the place she needed to be for the remainder of her life. Kay,I bet you are already elevated to 'angel' status and I hope you somehow bless us all with your presence as such! God is surely keeping you in his care and most likely, knowing your many talents, is keeping you very busy - and you love every moment! Our deepest sympathies to Donna, Mary, Barbara and all the remaining family members. We are so sorry we could not be present for her fantastic last ceremony and party! She was watching we know! Lovingly, Ernie, Betty, Bill, Dave, Kierstin and the rest of the family

My Aunt Katie was such a joy and brought so much love into everyone's life. I treasure the times we spent together and the years I got to spend with her in Costa Mesa California. She has a special place in my heart. I Love you!!

Donna, your Mom was a lovely woman. She raised two children who are gracious and kind people. We were honored to know her. We know how hard it is to lose your Mother, and offer you our heartfelt sympathy. We will keep her and you in our prayers.

What a wonderful woman, wife, and mother. Her wit and humor were just a few of her greatest assets. My deepest sympathy to the family. Carolyn

I'll miss my Aunt Kate but I know she is in a better place without any suffering. I will always remember the sound of her laugh and boy did she like to laugh. I remember phrases she'd use to get a laugh such as 'yous guys', 'Would you like a cup of cawfee?'. She would affect an Irish accent to imitate the drunken ramblings of a patron of her father's bar in Anaconda, Montana. She and her brothers and sisters would recite his words, 'If that's not right, what's right?' and make each other laugh out loud until they cried. Her family's trait was that members could laugh until they couldn't breathe. It's been a long time since I can remember doing that. But, I fondly remember sitting in my family's living room crowded with aunts, uncles, and cousins and it roaring with laughter. I know that Kate enjoyed that as much as I did. Her daughter Donna has revealed to me her mother's mischievous nature in a few anecdotes. I especially loved it when she would say something that would shock her son Denny or daughter Donna and crack herself up at the same time. All done in innocent fun and a shared laugh. This is what I will miss about most about my Aunt Kate.

One of our fondest memories was traveling to Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park in the summer of 2001 with Aunt Katie and three generations of the 'Walsh' family. We enjoyed family dinners wonderfully prepared by Ann, warm cookies baked by Marty, hikes/walks in the park and lakeside, and playing lots of Scrabble (luckily Katie and Mary went easy on us). It was special time with Katie that will remain forever in our hearts.

We will never forget your sunny smile and your self-effacing wit. You made us laugh and cry and remember what family is all about. Your union with Uncle Warren produced two of the family's greatest treasures, Denny and Donna...and while we morn Denny's passing, we are greatful that Donna is still with us to carry on your smile. With love, Bev, Tom, Andy & Corey

Aunt Katie was such a wonderful person who brought joy to everyone in her presence. I wish my Kathryn (Katie's namesake) could have experienced her warmth and love. Aunt Katie will always hold a very special place in my heart. I know she has been welcomed into God's arms and Denny is at her side.

We send our sympathy to Donna at this time. We met 'Aunt Kay' while visiting the U.S with Bob, my girls still and myself still remember her. A a very cheerful and loving person. Although we just met her that time she made an impact in our memories for her kindness and sweetness. - Iris, Paulina, Andrea and Robert
