Obituary of Janice Lynn Renick

Janice Lynn Renick (Jan), so vibrant and full of life, went to her heavenly home so suddenly on May 2, 2011. Jan was born on December 28, 1949 to her parents, Charles and Ethel (Read) Hales in Elyria, Ohio. She met and then married husband George Renick in 1967, and had two children Jackie and Michael. In 1979 the family moved from Ohio to Washington State where they settled in for the long haul in Tenino, where they remained for 6 years. Later moving to Olympia, and then finally Tumwater. George and Janice were married for 35 years when George succumbed to cancer in July of 2002, leaving Jan a widower. She did the best she could to recover from such a tragic loss and went on with life. Janice was a giver, always helping people with her huge heart, and kind spirit. She worked very hard all of her life and was dealt some tough hands. She went on to be saved and found her church home at the Church of Living Water in Olympia and was baptized. She served with the church’s family service center and enjoyed the 50’s Plus group. Jan will be missed every single day by her family. Jan was proceeded in death by both her parents, step-parents, her eldest sister Connie, and her husband George. She is survived by her daughter Jackie and son-in-law Tim Troit, her son Michael and daughter-in-law Meagan Renick, three grandsons Justin, Hunter, and Dalton Troit, and one granddaughter Michaela Renick. Jan is also survived by her two younger sisters, Denise Pendergrass, and Pamela Mase, and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
