Obituary of Jimmy Lee DeBord

James “Jimmy” Lee DeBord, age 52, was born on March 18, 1959 in Bremerton and passed away of heart disease surrounded by family on March 2, 2012 in Tacoma, WA. Jimmy was never married and did not have children. Jimmy went to school and became a very good upholsterer for many years. Jimmy was born in Bremerton later moved to Auburn, Enumclaw, Bonney Lake and Tacoma before settling in Lake Bay, WA. He is survived by his sisters Linda Geyer of Tacoma, Barbara Soffner of Lake Bay and Tammy Hardy of Tumwater, WA. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. DeBord and mother, Myrna J. DeBord. Jimmy loved the Seahawks, he also enjoyed cutting firewood, going to the casino and nice cars. Jimmy had a tough start in life due to polio at such a young age, but later learned to deal with it and never really needed to use any devices to walk, as they once thought he would need to. Jimmy had lots of friends, and enjoyed hanging out with them. A celebration of life will be held at Prairie Ridge Hall in Bonney Lake, WA on Sunday April 15th, 2012 at 3:00pm.
