Obituary of Francis C. Lessley

Born August 20, 1923, in Hanson, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord October 22, 2010, at the age of 87 years. Dad served his country by joining the United States Navy, proudly serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Biloxi during WWII. He also later served in The Merchant Marines. He spent many years supporting his growing family working in the orchards of Washington. He later found a career working in the aerospace industry. Retiring in 1988 after 30 years of dedicated service to The Boeing Company. Dad enjoyed the simple things in life. Road-Runner Cartoons, an ice cold beer, the love of family and friends, family and shipmate reunions, and of course baseball. IN fact he spent his final days watching The World Series with members of his family. Dad was a quiet man with a loving heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Lula Lessley, Brothers Jack, Jay, Bernie, and Johnny, grandson Dallas Jr., and great granddaughter Kania Russell. He is survived by his loving wife Ilene, his daughters Linda Smith (Doug), Debbie Hoskyn (Joe), Patty Douglas, his son Dallas, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
