Obituary of Adam Joseph LaFave

Adam Joseph LaFave was born September 1st, 1989 and passedaway September 2nd, 2010. He is survived by his Mother Roxanne LaFave, his brother Zachary and his sister Laurie, Father Kevin LaFave, Stepmother Nicolle, stepbrother Tyler and stepsister Tori. He is also survived by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Adam was born in Spokane Washington. He then moved with his family to Wichita Falls, Texas for 1 year and then Langley, Virginia for 1 year. At age 3 he moved to Merced, California where he first started attending school. At age 5 he moved to Hawaii for 3 years. He moved to Lakewood, WA at age 8 and has resided there since. He attended John Dower Elementary, Lochburn Middle School and was a Graduate of Clover Park High School in 2007. Adam received his AA degree from Pierce College January 2010. Adam was always the family comedian; he knew how to make us laugh. He shared his smile and laugh with all his friends too. He would light up a room with his smile. He liked to laugh and make jokes and wasn’t afraid to make fun of himself and put the joke on him. Adam would make you laugh and play a prank on you when you least expected it. Adam had a very big heart; he was a kind and caring person with lot's of love to give. He was always excited to go longboarding and disc golfing with his friends. As we all know Adam was not the biggest person physically but his heart and desire to achieve made him appear much bigger. He was not intimidated by football players that were hundreds of pounds heavier than him. He learned to play smarter and be in the right position to offset his size. He competed in numerous sports from age 5 on up. During middle school and high school he played three sports a year. In high school he lettered in Football, Wrestling, Soccer and Tennis. He was a team captain in wrestling at Clover Park High School. Adam was always a very competitive person and would fight hard to win whether it was a card game, board game, ping pong or any other sport or game. Adam will be missed by all his family and friends; a bright light was put out way to soon. Viewing will be held on September 15th, at 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Edwards Memorial Center, 3005 Bridgeport Way W, University Place WA 98466. Memorial Services will be held on September 18th, at 2:00pm at The Church at Lakewood, 7912 Lakewood Dr, Lakewood WA 98499. Donations can be sent to The Church at Lakewood or Narcotics Anonymous.
