Obituary of Marvin Henry Schultz

Marv was born dec. 5, 1928 in Watertown, Wisconsin. He peacefully passed on July 25, 2011 in University Place, WA. surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his best friend and wife Carole; Daughter Shirley Merkle (Tom); Son Marvin Jr.; Step Son Rick Watt (Nancy); Step Daughter Lori Tweddel (Rick); Sisters Sylvia Tester, Betty Klousch (Stanley), Marlene Buss (Frank), Barbara Henning (Lenny); and one brother Orville (Mary) of Wisconsin. He had 7 grandchildren, Jon, Stacy, Brenda, Michael, Deanna, Craig, Kristi and 7 great grandchildren. Marvin retired after 21 years in the Army then went to work for the Boeing Company for 24 years, retiring in 1990. Marvin was a dedicated volunteer for the Tacoma Eagles FOE #3 for many years and was known far and wide for his delicious clam chowder. He was an avid fisherman and loved the time he could spend at the pot holes at Mar Don Resort. He loved to bowl and was a member of 2 leagues, the Monday Late Swingers and the Thursday Eagles League, as well as having his own team (Marv's Markers) in the Eagles Travel League. He will by missed by all who knew him. Thank you to Hospice House for their tender care. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 2:30PM at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, Washington. There will also be a celebration of Marv's life at the Tacoma Eagles FOE #3 at 2:00PM Saturday August 6th, 2011 at 4810 SO Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98409.
