Dear Friends and Relations of David, My son, Robbie and I were Dave's neighbors for the last 5 years. Robbie and David, as Robbie always called him, had a special relationship and they loved each other a lot. (Robbie has Down syndrome.) Dave understood how hard things were for Robbie and they always had a good time, even if Robbie was on his way in or out, he'd always look to say 'Hi'. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. Things will never be the same around here! He was a very hard worker, in spite of his disability, and was always busy with some project...plantings, taking great care of the lawn, so much more...it just won't be the same ever again! I am so thankful that I got to speak with him for a nice visit about a week before his death. He is with the Lord now, knowing only joy and happiness. I'll never forget that great smile of his and that twinkle in his eye when he was amused! May you all remember him this way and may our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with us all as we mourn his passing.

David, I will miss you. What a character, and how many good laughs. Thanks for all the memories. And for teaching me to play Cribbage. And remember: Smoking WAS cool. Via con dios. Tanya

I met Dave (he was 'little Dave' to me) 10 years or so at Kathy's coffee shop at the Market Place on S. 64th Street. Through our coffee conversations we realized we knew many of the same people through our work backgrounds. As our friendship grew Dave would occasionally stop by on his way to bowling and we had a common interest of antiques as well as knives. Sometimes we met at the antique store and sometimes I would pick him up. Dave was very independent using public transportation to get him most places. Recently he encouraged me to join the NW Knife Collectors which met once a month at the Elmer's restaurant on S. 72nd St. At the July lst meeting it was with great sadness members of the club learned of Dave's passing. His contribution to the club will be missed. I had concerns for Dave's health following his hernia surgery. I consider Dave my friend and I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his children and family. Eugene Anderson

David, Remember when you'd climb the backstop, full of rage? You were quite an actor, and that was just your stage. As time went on you became reclusive. As your friend I felt inclusive. We had a special bond, you and me. Hopefully we'll be together in eternity! You roared like a lion, but were tame as a sheep. Bless you my brother in eternal sleep. David and I go back to circa 1968. We played sports with AND against each other; David being one of the most intense athletes I ever knew. He made the choice to live a simple life, which I myself came to appreciate as I aged. I'll miss you Skule, Zac

Hey grandpa! I miss you so much. I only got the chance to see you a couple of times because we lived so far away. I remember you coaching me at bowling and dad telling me stories when he was young and you teaching him too. I wish you could of seen my graduate highschool last year but you had surgery and could not fly down. You missed my dads retirement so you could watch me walk and get my diploma. Hope you saw it in heaven I miss hearing your voice on the phone. I love and miss you so much grandpa
