I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a wonderful person. In the housing office she was the one person I could count on at all times and could make me laugh at the same time. She understood and listened. Thank you for sharing her with all of us out here on base. I will miss seeing her driving around. She was a amazing person and will be missed.

I worked for Mary at the Fairchild AFB Housing Office from her arrival at Fairchild in 1998 until I moved to another Federal job at Fairchild in 2001. I remember Mary as not only being 'hard headed' but very kind hearted. She always loved to 'brag' about her delightful grandchildren, who were the light of her life as were her daughters Annette and Janet. I almost felt like I knew them all personally. I will miss Mary's beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor, and her 'hard headedness' very, very much. She was not only my boss but became my friend as well. My heartfelt sympathy at the loss of your mother, grandmother, and best friend.

Mary was a great friend to me personally and all those in the Air Force housing family. She 'mothered' us as she did her own daughters. I will miss her caring spirit tremendously. Candy Ringler

My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your loved one, Mary. Mary was a great person, a great housing professional who made others feel welcome. I had a lot of great laughs with Mary over the years at our Professional Housing Conferences and talked with Mary on other occasions on housing issues. I will surely miss her warm and friendly smile, but most of all her laughter, and favorite saying when we were at our housing conference trade shows: 'What you shopping for now?' Thank you Mary for making my life more fuller and for all the wonderful memories! God Bless you. Bette

I would like to express my sympathy to the family and friends of Mary Hammer. My mother passed away six years ago today. I understand some of the pain and grief you may feel in losing your dear mother. The Bible calls death an enemy. However, the Bible also holds out a wonderful hope of being reunited with our loved ones. God's promise at Revelation 21:4 has always brought comfort to me. It says: 'And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.' It is my wish that this scripture may bring you comfort and hope during this difficult time. Again, I extend my deepest sympathies to you all in the loss of your dear mother. Sincerely, Denise Amende

I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother. She was a great person, always had a smile on her face. I met your mother after she moved to Spokane and I was at McChord AFB, doing the same job - Air Force Housing. We shared many business trips together. She was always a joy to be around. I will echo the words as written by many of my colleagues, she will truly be missed. My prayers are with you all.

I am sorry for the loss of your mom. Having lost mine just a couple of years ago I can understand your pain. I worked with Mary during her assignment to Malmstrom. She and I were the only females at the staff meetings and quickly became good friends. I loved her spirit, she liked to enjoy herself. She will be missed and obviously fondly remembered.

Janet and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't say I know what you are going through because I was only 9 years old when I lost my daddy. All I know is that I missed him. If you need anything Janet please call me or e-mail me. I didn't know your mom, but I knew of her through you. I know that she was really special to you and that you loved her very much. I wish I would have met her. Please except my sympathy. God Bless You and Your Family

I miss you so much, Mom! It's been over a year now since both you and Dad passed away. As my birthday approaches, I again realize that I am no longer anyone's daughter. I will forever wish for more time... time to spend with you... time to tell you how much I love you! You were such an incredible role model. You were my rock! I cannot thank you enough for giving me such a strong foundation to build upon. I will do my best to share what you taught me and to continually stive to be a better person. All my love!
