Obituary of Susan Perrine Lund Neils

Susan Perrine Lund Neils, originally from Denton, MT and wife of Thomas Neils, originally from Libby, MT, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma, WA on May 20th, 2010 after an 8-month battle with cancer. Susan was born on Oct 19th, 1954 in Great Falls, MT and raised in Denton. Susan was preceded in death by her father Michael Perrine, her sister Audrey Perrine, her grandparents, and other relations. Her husband of Federal Way, WA survives Susan, along with her daughters Kelly Lund of Billings and Kalyn Neils of Federal Way, her mother Dolores Perrine of Lewistown, her brothers David Perrine (Barbara) of Powell, WY and Greg Perrine (Kathy) of Bozeman, MT, and numerous other relations. Susan graduated from Denton High in 1972, married and divorced Richard Lund, attended UCLA Medical School where she obtained her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner certification. She worked in Great Falls and the greater Seattle area in Women’s Health Care over the next 30 years. Susan and Tom married in Great Falls in Feb 1986 and moved to Western Washington after the wedding. Susan enjoyed many activities including shopping, reading, writing, water and snow skiing and camping. Susan loved her husband, daughters, parents, siblings, relatives, and friends with all her heart. Susan enjoyed gatherings in Montana for holidays with family and was a staple at the CM Russell Stampede in Stanford, MT every summer over the last 35+ years. Even with Susan departing this world too soon she has left a lasting impression with the many people she met in her adventures. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held for Susan on May 29th, 2010 at St Leo’s Catholic Church in Lewistown, MT with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A vigil will be held for family members on Friday evening. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Susan’s name.
