The family moved to Vancouver, WA in 1962 then to Kent/Tacoma area in 1985. He was a mover and truck driver by trade most of his life. Finally, several years ago his health prevented him from working, so he directed his time and attention to his granddaughters Ashley and Lexy and his great nephews Ryan, Eban and Hayden. His hobbies included gardening, yard work, baking and canning. Surrounded by decor representing his Indian heritage and his pet fish, he lived independently and enjoyed traveling to visit his family in Battle Ground and Vancouver, WA. In his last hours he was surrounded by his family and friends. Thank you to all who came to visit and show your love and support of Wayne and the family: Carol, Gil, Christine, Bob, Beth, Helen, Katie, Roger, Mike F, Mike W, John, Bryant, Ron and Sharron. Wayne bravely and secretly battled lung cancer and passed peacefully and naturally under the great care of the staff at St. Joe's Hospital in Tacoma. The same hospital where he was born.
